Arguably the most famous and influential trade journal, founded as a weekly in New York, USA in 1905 by Sime Silverman. In 1933 it added Daily Variety, based in Los Angeles, which specialised in coverage of films (the weekly continued to cover theatre and vaudeville).

A British consumer video magazine, published monthly from 1980.

Video Watchdog
A long-running American magazine published and edited by Tim and Donna Lucas between 1990 and 2017. It grew out of Lucas’s Video Watchdog columns in Video Times and Gorezone. The magazine folded in 2017 when the Lucas’ declared bankruptcy but Tim Lucas continues to write for his blog Video Watchblog.

Video Viewer
A British video consumer magazine published monthly between 1982 and 1995. It focused on home video releases.

Video Week
A British trade journal for the video industry published from 1983 to 1990.

An American film fanzine published irregularly by Bob Sargent between 1990 and 1996. It focused on European horror films.

Views and Reviews
An American quarterly film magazine edited by Jon Tuska. It was published between 1969 and 1974 by Views and Reviews Inc.
