An Italian horror film directed by Umberto Lenzi. It was the first of the Italian cannibal films and made it to the UK’s “video nasties” list in the 1980s.

Plot Summary

A British photographer in Thailand, Bradley, flees up-river after stabbing a local thug and finds himself lost in the deep jungles. He’s captured by a tribe who force him to take part in their bizarre rituals. Initially, Bradley resists their attempts to induct him into the tribe but as time passes, he falls in love and begins to forge a new live with the tribe. Nearby, however, a tribe of cannibals are lurking…
