A Japanese horror film directed by Hino Hideshi.

Plot Summary

A young artist finds a wounded mermaid in a sewer, recognising her as the creature that he’d met many years before. He takes her home and starts to paint her, but she quickly develops horrific open sores and boils all over her body. As her condition worsens, the artist has to keep changing his portrait, even resorting to using the pus that oozes from her wounds as ‘paint’.
