A British science fiction television episode directed by Charles Jarrott. No copies are known to exist. It was first broadcast on ITV and was intended to be the first episode of a new series, Out of This World (1962), but producer Sydney Newman chose instead to broadcast it the week before Out of This World‘s debut in the more established Armchair Theatre strand, with Boris Karloff appearing in an epilogue to introduce the the new series.

Plot Summary

Astronaut Duncan Weaver is getting too old to continue his job and reluctantly accepts a job living alone on a remote space station. To help with the loneliness, Weaver buys Lellie, a Martian woman, as a companion. But their relationship breaks down and when geologist Dr Alan Whint comes visiting, it's the catalyst for some surprising developments.
