Plot Summary

Jane, the illegitimate daughter of a Scottish landowner, is disowned by her family and forced to leave the family home. She moves to London where she is haunted by terrible memories of her childhood and of her mother's mysterious death. Becoming increasingly disconnected from the real world, she sets out on surreal journey looking for freedom and revenge.
