A French fantasy film directed by Georges Méliès.
Plot Summary
A man and his mule stop at a well where they are bothered by an old beggar woman. She turns out to be a witch who angrily curses the well when her demands for money are rejected, causing the water to turn to fire when it is drawn. A demon appears and the well grows to enormous size . Two snakes appear followed by more demons (one of which turns into a bat), a dragon and giant frogs.
