Plot Summary

Stanley Banks' quiet, well ordered life is turned upside-down and inside-out by his daughter Kay's wedding. Things go from bad to worse as Banks wanders bemused through an ever changing landscape of utter chaos. It all begins easily enough, but soon there's the nightmare of meeting the boy's family, the party announcing the engagement (“this is done after everyone already knows all about it”), the wedding day itself…
