Plot Summary
A group of pensioners have been living quietly in a Cincinnati tenement building, forging a small community built on trust and mutual support. All that is threatened when their neighbourhood is earmarked for redevelopment by the property developers run by the uncaring Crawford. As the buildings around them are demolished, the group becomes increasingly frightened for their future (social worker Miss Pollack wants to ship them off to a soulless assisted living facility, the group losing their possessions and sense of community in the process) while become increasingly determined to put a stop to it all.
