With the human characters purposely stylized to look weirder than the , Toy Story is one of those remarkable movies made for children with a sophisticated edge for adults to enjoy. Within ten minutes you'll forget it's computer animation and you'll settle down to watch a cracking good tale superbly told in a way you've never seen before. Disney earn yet another well deserved pat on the back for recognising the potential of Pixar's digital know-how and putting it to the best possible use. An easy contender for the best movie of the year. – from an illustrated review by Alan Jones
