A piece of uncomplicated entertainment [that] succeeds within its modest limits. The story is quite unbelievable and the characterisation is never more than of face value, but all the faces fit and there is enough action, most of it in pleasing or imposing scenery, to offset the short-comings. – from a review by Graham Clarke
