An Italian horror film directed by Robert H. Oliver. The name “Robert H. Oliver” is clearly a pseudonym though it’s not so clear who for. Ramiro Olvieros, Oscar Brazzi, Mario Mancini, Dick Randall and William Rose have all been suggested over the years and Mancini’s is the name registered on the film’s listing at the Italian copyright agency SIAE. Gordon Mitchell however has claimed that the director was actually named Robert Oliver while assistant director Gianlorenzo Battaglia has claimed that the director was an American who “left the film because of disagreements with the producer, and so Mario [Mancini] finished it on his own. I’m not 100% sure though.” 1Quoted by Roberto Curti in Italian Gothic Horror Films, 1970-1979.
