Plot Summary
On the mining planet Sirius 6B, human colonists have been fighting a long standing war. Scientists develop a new super-weapon, a self-replicating killer robot known as a Screamer that is programmed to seek and destroy all enemies. But the Screamers have continued to evolve and have now decided to destroy all life on the planet, friend or foe. Colonel Hendricksson of the Alliancetries to forge a peace with his enemies, the New Economic Bloc. But to get to them, he has to cross a wasteland full of the sentient and devious Screamers…
