Plot Summary
It’s 1992, a decade after a limited nuclear war, America is in the grip of The Merchants, an organisation that subjugates the surviving population and as part of their programme for population control, The Merchants have coerced Dr Paul Dean into breeding a parasitic lifeform that they plan to release into the wild. An appalled Dean flees with his creation, infecting himself in the process. He arrives in a small township with the Merchant Wolf hot on his trail. He falls prey to a gang – Dana, Arn, Shell, Bo, Zeke and Ricus (Luca Bercovici) – who steal the flask containing a parasite, not understanding what it is. The creature soon escapes, and the race is on to prevent it from infecting everyone. Dean is aided by young lemon grower Patricia while trying to stay one step ahead of Wolf.
