Plot Summary

In the distant future, a group of are trained as Mnemonics, able to store facts in their subconscious for retrieval at a later date. One of the Mnemonics, Mark, is aboard a starship heading for the planet Troan and his thirst for knowledge threatens to disrupt the ship's mission – to find out why a colony was lost on Troan three years before.
