A Japanese science fiction television series created by Shinichi Sekizawa. The four episodes were later edited together for video release in the mid-1990s. The episodes were filmed as early as 1964 but broadcast was delayed when Toho threatened legal action against Nippon Denpa Eiga claiming that the Agon suit was too similar to their own monster, Godzilla. The company eventually relented when they learned that Shinichi Sekizawa, writer of several of their kaiju films, and Eiji Tsuburaya’s apprentice Fuminori Ohas were involved and became convinced that any resemblance was coincidental. Before the series aired, the suit had been modified and was used as a dinosaur in the series Maguma taishi (1966).
