Plot Summary
In 2274, the North America survivors of a nuclear holocaust live in a huge domed city where the population is controlled by law enforcing euthanasia at the age of 30. The people are told that they are being “renewed” in a r8tual known as Carousel, but in fact they’re being killed. To enforce the law, the computers who run the city use Sandmen, armed police who track down dissident “runners” who cling to the belief that there exists a mythical place outside the dome known as Sanctuary. One Sandman, Logan, nears the end of his 30 years and finds himself on the run with a young dissident, Jessica, following a trail of clues in search of Sanctuary.
