A French/West German/Italian anthology film with fantasy and science fiction sequences directed by Claude Autant-Lara, Philippe de Broca, Jean-Luc Godard, Michael Pfleghar, Mauro Bolognini and Franco Indovina.
Plot Summary
An anthology of comedy sketches depicting prostitution through the ages, two of which are fantasy – in L'ère préhistorique, a caveman finds that a cavewoman is more attractive when she paints her face with the worlds first make up. And in Anticipation, ou l'amour en l'an 2000, the alien Demetrius arrives on Earth only to be offered a “sentimental love” girl, not the “physical love” one that he was expecting.
