An American horror film directed by Joseph Zito. It was the fourth of the Friday the 13th films and was – as its title suggests – intended by Paramount to be the last of the series. Although it was, like all of the films in the series, poorly received by the critics it did well enough at the box office for Paramount to reconsider although initially they tried to do away with iconic killer Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985).
Plot Summary
Jason's apparently dead body is carted off to the morgue, whereupon he revives and off we go again. The action finally moves away from Camp Crystal Lake and into the suburbs as Jason turns his attentions to a gang of teens in a nearby house. After the usual ration of mayhem, Jason is neatly dispatched by Tommy, the little boy next door who makes mincemeat of the killer's head with a meat cleaver.
