An American science fiction television film directed by Joseph Pevney. It was intended as a pilot for a series that was never made. There’s no evidence that the pilot was ever broadcast.
Plot Summary
The attempted launch of a rocket to the moon from the BB space station is delayed when a meteor hits the station. Space program director Jim Benedict is forced to testify at Senate hearings who are having doubts about the cost of the space program. To add to his woes, a leaky hydraulic line causes a reactor control rod to jam during the second attempt to launch the rocket, and the reactor is about to go critical and explode.
