Plot Summary

During World War II, English children, Charlie, Carrie and Paul Rawlins are evacuated from London to live with apprentice witch Eglantine Price. She turns a bed knob into a device that allows them to travel and they end up back in London where they meet Emelius Browne, the former headmaster of Miss Price’s witchcraft training correspondence school. Together they find a way to cast the Substitutiary Locomotion spell, which brings inanimate objects to life.
