PLOT SUMMARY
In the year 1999, a massive explosion at a nuclear waste dump on the
far side of the moon wrenches the satellite out of orbit and sends it
hurtling through space. The surviving crew of Moonbase Alpha find themselves
light years from home, encountering strange alien races in their search
for a new home.
A disappointing follow-up to Anderson's U.F.O. (1969).
The design and effects work are excellent but the stories were often
derivative and frequently silly and the cast always looked stiff and
uncomfortable. The second season is some of the worst science fiction
ever seen on the small screen.
