SUMMARY
Leo Vincey learns from his dying uncle about a lost
world in Siberia. He puts together an expedition and sets off in search
of the fabled land and its magical fire that bestows immortality on
anyone who enters it. They eventually reach the lost city of Kor and
meet its immortal queen, Ayesha, She Who Must Be Obeyed who believes
that Vincey is her long-lost lover John Vincey, Leo's ancestor who discovered
Kor 500 years before.
CAPSULE REVIEW
On a technical and creative level, She can be seen
as a textbook case on how to produce a fantasy adventure motion picture,
if the resources are available. But despite its undoubted technical
virtuosity and stunning appearance, thanks to serious shortcomings in
most of the other areas of its production, this remains a deeply flawed
work, and therefore a minor addition to genre cinema. (Full
