PLOT SUMMARY
Secret agent John Steed
is back with two new assistants, Purdy and Mike Gambit,
to fight more outlandish villains and their insane
schemes.
CAPSULE REVIEW
No, of course it's not
as good as the original, but there's still much to enjoy
in The New Avengers. Some of the
episodes may have you cringing in embarrassment, but at
its best - Sleeper, Target!, The Eagle's Nest et al -
this new version was the equal of some of the originals.
The cast are great, clearly enjoying every second it, and
the theme tune is wonderful.
