PLOT SUMMARY

Paris, 1880: the city is in the grip of Le Loup, the wolf-like killer stalking the streets. Michel, a worker at the bank owned by De Brisson, is the latest victim and talks briefly of a face at the window before dying. De Brisson's business is ailing and has to call upon the mercies of local businessman Chevalier del Gardo to help bail him out. De Brisson employee Lucien Cortier, who is in love with De Bresson's daughter Cecile, determines to track down the wolf and help to restore the business to its former glory.
