PLOT SUMMARY
The Doctor faces the Daleks one last time as they prepare their invasion
of Earth. He sends Rose back to her own time as he and Jack prepare
for their final stand, developing a weapon that will destroy the Daleks
and their insane Emperor who now believes itself to be a god, but will
also wipe out all life of Earth. But the Bad Wolf is about to reveal
itself with unforeseen consequences for The Doctor...
CAPSULE REVIEW
As wonderful a climax to the first season as one could hope for. A
massive Dalek attack force descending on the Earth, a terrible moral
dilemma for The Doctor, Jack finally being useful for something and
above all a regeneration. Some fans balked at the idea of The Doctor
kissing Rose (and even more so at Jack kissing The Doctor) but under
the circumstances they both seemed somehow right. Eccleston goes out
in style, Tennant flashes a wicked grin while mumbling about new teeth
and there isn't a dry eye in the house. Brilliant.
