PLOT SUMMARY
An anthropology student and her friends venture
into the Amazon basin to complete her dissertation on cannibalism. They
meet a pair of emerald prospectors who have been attacked by a supposedly
cannibal tribe - but are they all they seem and just how responsible
are they for the appalling violence they encounter? (Full

CAPSULE REVIEW
A ludicrous but surprisingly effective jungle romp
made bearable by a hammy performance by Morghen/Radice and laughable
dialogue. The violence is harrowing and the politics are, at best, dubious,
but it's hard to deny that the film has a raw, primal energy that makes
it utterly indefensible but strangely compelling. (Full
